A visual statement for healthy visions of the future: the visual identity for the special exhibition “What the Health” translates complex scientific concepts into a bold, youth-oriented design language.
A defining design feature is the contrast in the typography: a heavy, geometric headline typeface is overlaid with loose handwritten elements, humorous doodles and marker-style elements. The handwritten elements act as dynamic ‘comments’ and interventions, reminiscent of street art and modern protest culture. Supported by a striking, vibrant colour palette, the result is a flexible, high-contrast design system that forms a consistent visual thread from the poster campaign right through to the exhibition space, playfully breaking down the barrier between the institution and its target audience.
