Wayfinding and Signage System

Kö-Bogen, Düsseldorf

Where architecture leads the way: A bespoke wayfinding system seamlessly integrates space, light, and information into an intuitive user experience.

In collaboration with the Daniel Libeskind Studio, a wayfinding system was developed that is based on the language of form and materials of the building. Special emphasis was given to the permeability of the information – overview, orientation and guidance – as well as to legibility and ergonomics. All materials and structural elements have been designed to last, are easy to clean and require little maintenance. The integration of projected information (GOBO lighting technology) into the complex architecture of the individual foyers is an equally convincing and appropriate solution. The outdoor columns are also designed for future integration of electronic media.
