World Heritage Site
for the Berlin Modernism, Berlin – a modular wayfinding system

World Heritage Site

Add-On! Plug-In! Pick it up, connect it, attach it, use it.

The signage system uses existing urban furniture as a base. Instead of additional columns or similar elements that would both obstruct the view of the monuments and further condense the already crowded city space, the signage system uses the existing structures. The information elements „dock“ onto existing streetlamps, barricades, railings, lamp-posts, etc. They are only added to, never built from scratch. This saves valuable resources and costs. The central information objects have a high long-distance effect and at the same time provide visitors with detailed information about the area, routes and sights.
