At the State Garden Show, the District of Munich and its 29 municipalities present themselves in a unique wooden pavilion. Arranged around a forest stage, the exhibition is divided into three color-coded thematic areas and uses a playful storytelling approach designed to engage and inspire younger visitors.

The concept heavily relies on interactive and participatory media. Using a web-app-based media guide, visitors can scan QR codes to interact with exhibits and watch engaging video portraits of local figures and their environmental or community projects. For full accessibility, all videos include sign-language subtitles. Additionally, an interactive map allows guests to scan symbols for quick descriptions and website links to regional destinations covering nature, water, and culture. At the center of the pavilion, an oval grandstand invites the public to chat with curators and contribute their own regional stories. These are recorded and integrated into the exhibition, allowing the project to grow continuously through active participation.
The exhibition features three distinct areas: The first highlights local traditions and customs through a dance station, traditional garments, and media stations showcasing volunteers. The second area, "Naturglück" (Joy of Nature), offers a multi-sensory experience of local biodiversity using pull-out panels, display cases, audio stations, and touchable elements like Isar pebbles. The third section, "Zukunftsfroh" (Joyful Future) features ten interactive flip panels offering practical advice on climate action and environmentally friendly gardening.

Sustainability and circular design principles were integral to the project from the outset. All exhibition modules are made from lightweight, resource-efficient materials, including Re-board honeycomb cardboard, and are designed to be reused or refurbished after the exhibition's six-month run. Even the pavilion's timber will be repurposed for future construction projects once the German State Garden Show has concluded.
