The design for the Luxembourg Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai—awarded 2nd place in the international competition—is based on a pioneering symbiosis of visionary architecture and narrative scenography. The team created a spatial structure that physically embodies the Expo motto "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future" through the principles of the circular economy and the dynamism of an open, interconnected nation.

The scenography harnesses the architectural motif of fluid motion. Upon entering the pavilion, visitors become part of a continuous stream of information and immersive experience. The exhibition architecture deliberately eschews rigid partition walls; instead, the narrative unfolds along gently curving ribbons and kinetic lines of light, mirroring the concept of the "Möbius strip" and the endless conservation of resources. Here, Luxembourg presents itself not as a static nation, but as an agile, future-oriented incubator for ideas.
At the heart of the showcase are the country's core strengths: digital innovation, sustainable urban transformation, and a pioneering spirit in space mining. Through the clever deployment of multi-sensory stations, interactive projection surfaces, and tactile exhibits, a bridge is built from Luxembourg's historical identity to its high-tech future. A special focus is placed on making the invisible tangible: data streams, connectivity, and circular processes are poetically and comprehensibly translated through immersive auditory and visual media installations. The pavilion thus becomes a living exhibit in its own right, where architecture and scenography seamlessly merge.
